Whether your machine is repaired in our workshops or out in the field, we have made a significant investment in the very latest technology to provide our engineers with expert diagnostic and specialist tooling so that you can be sure our work is carried out to the highest standard and undertaken as efficiently as possible. With over 70 engineers, we aim to respond within 4 hours to emergency machine breakdowns, giving our customers the peace of mind that we will be there when you need us.
We offer a full range of service/maintenance packages which include:
Sure Price Service – With Sure Price Service you simply pay for quality servicing as you require it with no fixed contract. The all-inclusive package covers all labour (using factory trained engineers), JCB lubricants, JCB grease, JCB filters and any other JCB parts required as specified in the service schedule – so what you see is what you get, with no surprises. All products used during a Sure Price Service are genuine JCB parts, fluids and lubricants, designed to maintain the performance of our machine and to give great value for money. We will also carry out additional checks on the main functions of your machine, to ensure that it continues to deliver maximum output, productivity and profitability.
Full Repair & Maintenance – For complete peace of mind and total budget predictability, a Repair and Maintenance Agreement is the ultimate solution. For a fixed sum per month, we will undertake all regular maintenance and make any necessary repairs. We will undertake regular visits to ensure that your machine remains in optimum condition, anticipating any action that needs taking to maximise productivity and profitability. On large wheel loaders and excavators, oil sampling is included as a major preventative measure, allowing you to maximise the machine uptime. You can also have the option of including tyres, undercarriage and attachments as part of the package. Repair and Maintenance contracts are available for up to 5 years or 10,000 hours of machine usage – or longer periods on request.
Service Agreement – A JCB Service Agreement allows you to plan and manage your machine maintenance budget, with the reassurance that your machine is receiving the best support available with added value due to a full service history. These agreements offer a high degree of flexibility: you can set up a Service Agreement at the time of machine purchase or at any subsequent point. All service intervals are hours based (for example every 500 hours or 6 months), and as with Sure Price Servicing, only genuine JCB lubricants and filters are used, as well as factory trained engineers, so you can be confident of maximising productivity, performance and profitability throughout the period of machine ownership.
JCB PremierCover – An extended JCB warranty package offering the same component protection as the initial manufacturer’s warranty. JCB PremierCover gives you complete peace of mind whilst ensuring that you maximise machine up time, productivity, performance and profitability. JCB PremierCover will provide up to 10,000 hours of cover (dependent on model type) in 500 hour increments enabling the protection to match your servicing requirements, the only time limit being a 5 year maximum period from the first date of retail, whichever is the sooner. You can take out JCB PremierCover protection during the first 6 months of machine ownership from new. JCB PremierCover is valid whilst your machine is regularly serviced from new by an authorised JCB dealer, with quality JCB servicing and the full protection of JCB PremierCover offering all round peace of mind for your entire fleet of JCB machines. JCB PremierCover protects your JCB machine against defects attributable to faulty materials or workmanship for an agreed extended hourly coverage period measured from zero clock hours, up to a maximum of 5 years from new. JCB PremierCover covers every part of your JCB machine, except for attachments (other than quickhitches, towhitches and towbars if these items are original factory fit or purchased via JCB Service), additions to your JCB machine which are not factory approved, bulbs, fuses and non-JCB branded tyres. JCB PremierCover is an asset, which can help increase the eventual resale value and it is possible to transfer this cover on the first initial sale through us. As you would expect from JCB, there are no hidden catches: no excess to pay, no maximum claim value and no claims limit. JCB PowertrainCover – JCB’s extended warranty package JCB PowertrainCover protects the heart of your machine up to a maximum of 5 years or 10,000 hours (model dependent). Everybody wants to reduce risk and no one likes those unexpected bills so it pays to protect yourself against possible failures to the key components of your machine. JCB PowertrainCover is valid whilst your machine is serviced from new by an authorised JCB Dealer, keeping your equipment in excellent working condition. The following for wheeled machines are covered: engine and ancillaries, axle assemblies, transmission assembly, hydraulic pump (where applicable) and all associated internals. The following for tracked machines are covered: engine and ancillaries, swing motor, swing gear, track motors, hydraulic pump and all associated internals.
Annual LOLER Testing – The 1998 Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), requires all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose, appropriate for the task, suitably marked and, in many cases, subject to statutory periodic thorough examination. Gunn JCB engineers are qualified as being “sufficiently competent” to carry out thorough examination on your JCB machine. We can provide you with certification and a written report highlighting any issues or additional work required to bring your machine up to safe operating condition.
